Mother’s Day is here and it’s a time to celebrate all of the great mom’s in this world. I want to specifically shout out my wife, my mom, my mother-in-law and my sister. I love all of you very much.

Now that I have got the brownie points out of the way, let’s dive into the weeds..

I’ve gathered you all here to give you my annual power rankings of TV Moms. So without further ado let’s get into it:

4. Jill Taylor – Home Improvement

Like almost every other kid growing up in the 90’s I loved Home Improvement. Not only did Jill keep a family of insane boys in line, she also had to deal with her husband Tim’s dumbass blowing stuff up constantly. This woman’s stress level was probably through the roof 24/7. Despite all of that she always kept everything together. Great mom.

3. Marge Simpson – The Simpsons

The first 10 seasons of The Simpsons is perfect television. I would put it up against almost anything. Marge Simpson was the loving mom who kept the entire family together. Constantly having to deal with Homer and Bart’s shit couldn’t have been easy, but she did it to the best of her abilities. She was the foundation of that family and without her they crumble.

2. Harriette Winslow – Family Matters

Family Matters is arguably my favorite show of the 90’s. The Winslow’s were such a great family and it started with Harriette. Not only did she have the stresses of worrying about her husband while out on the beat, but she had to take care of her family all while trying to keep that creep, Steve Urkel away from her daughter and from ruining her house. Unreal good mother.

(Side note: When I figured out that the title, “Family Matters” had a double meaning my mind was blown)

1. Kitty Foreman – That 70’s Show

There are a ton of mothers who could be considered for this top spot, but to me it’s a no-brainer. Kitty Foreman is the peak tv mom. Not only is she loving and caring, but she accepted an entire crew of misfits into her home every single day with no hesitation. Not to mention she had to deal with arguably the biggest curmudgeon of a husband in tv history and she did it with a smile and the best laugh ever. Kitty rules.

Today is a day to celebrate mothers everywhere so I will keep the negativity to a minimum. I have mentioned the best tv moms, now it’s time to mention the single worst tv mom and I don’t think it’s close..

1 of 1: Cersei Lannister – Game of Thrones

There’s no reason to even beat around the bush here because Cersei Lannister is the worst mother of all time. Not only is she evil and insane, but she was also a narcissist who went to no ends to accomplish her goals. Yes, she loved her children, but she ruined all of their lives along the way. If you come at the queen, you best not miss and Cersei is the queen of evil and the worst tv mother of all time.
