FC Cincinnati had to move on quickly from their Hell is Real derby victory over Columbus last Saturday as they welcomed Atlanta United to town for some Wednesday night MLS action.
The orange and blue were trying to continue their winning ways, having won 4 games in a row coming into Wednesday night’s matchup against Atlanta United. They picked up right where they left off on Saturday against Columbus with the new boy, striker Kevin Kelsy putting FC Cincinnati up 1-0 early.
With that goal Kevin Kelsy became the fastest teenager to score two goals in MLS regular season action (58 minutes).
Kelsy is the third teenager to score twice inside their first 100 minutes of regular season action, joining Serge Ngoma (2022) and Diego Fagúndez (2011).
Once again, where were you and what were you doing when you were 19 years old? This kid is special and he is exactly the kind of striker I have been begging them to bring in after losing Brandon Vazquez.
Kelsy’s goal was huge and ultimately it would help guide FC Cincinnati to a tough 1-0 victory over Atlanta United to earn three big points and keep pace with Inter Miami atop the Eastern Conference standings.

That’s now five wins in a row for FC Cincinnati with a tough test coming up on Saturday when they will welcome St. Louis City SC to TQL Stadium.
Let’s hope for more fireworks from the orange and blue on Saturday, but until then, cue Mr. Brightside!
UP THE ORANGE AND BLUE!!!
