FC Cincinnati came into Saturday’s matchup against St. Louis City SC on a heater. Having won their last five games, the orange and blue were looking to keep up their winning ways.

Captain and reigning league MVP, Luciano Acosta got the party started for FC Cincinnati with a goal from the spot after being taken down in the box for a penalty.

With that goal, Luciano Acosta put his name into the MLS record book.

Thanks to Lucho Acosta, FC Cincinnati would take a 1-0 lead into the half.

FCC wouldn’t have to wait long to add their second goal. Yuya Kubo would add FC Cincinnati’s second goal just 4 minutes into the second half on an assist from who else but Lucho Acosta.

St. Louis City would get a goal back in the 54th minute on an own goal from FC Cincinnati’s Matt Miazga, but the orange and blue would bounce back in the 80th minute with a goal from Sergio Santos on an assist from….yup, you guessed it…Lucho Acosta.

FC Cincinnati has now won six games in a row, tying the most wins in a row in franchise history.

This team is in unreal form right now. They are currently sitting in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference and only one point behind Inter Miami.

Next up for FC Cincinnati is a trip to Canada to take on Toronto next Saturday.

In the meantime, cue Mr. Brightside.

UP THE ORANGE AND BLUE!!!
