The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the nominees for their 2024 Ring of Honor class.

The team also announced that this year’s Ring of Honor induction game will be their September 23 Monday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders.

My votes will be for Corey Dillon and Lemar Parrish.

Corey Dillon is the Bengals all-time leading rusher. He also set many records during his time in Cincinnati. He has the NFL rookie record for yards in a single game (246) and he set an NFL record for most yards rushed in one game (278 yards). Not to mention he’s a a 3x Pro Bowler.

This one is easy. Not only does Corey Dillon belong in the Bengals Ring of Honor, but he also belong in Canton in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Lemar Parrish also belongs in the Bengals Ring of Honor. He is one of the best players to ever wear the stripes. He had 25 career interceptions in Cincinnati (4 returned for touchdowns), which ranks 5th all-time in Bengals history. He finished his career with 47 interceptions. He was also a menace on special teams. His 18.8-yard punt return average in 1974 is still the best since the merger. Parrish had 4 Punt Return touchdowns (1 Kick return TD) and to top it all off, he went to six Pro Bowl’s while with the Bengals (8 total), which was the most ever by a Bengals defensive player until Geno Atkins came along and went to eight.

Lemar Parrish is a no-brainer for me.

I think all of the nominees belong in the Ring of Honor. I think Dave Lapham definitely belongs in sooner rather than later for everything he has done for the Bengals, both in his playing career and his media career.

Whoever gets into the 2024 Bengals Ring of Honor class is more than deserving. It will be interesting to see how the fan base votes this year.

Who Dey!
