FC Cincinnati went into Saturday’s road game against FC Dallas as the best road team in the MLS. After a tough defeat to the New England Revolution, FC Cincinnati were looking to get back to their winning ways.

This game started slow for FC Cincinnati. FC Dallas had a few chances early on, but could not capitalize. Both teams would go into the break deadlocked at 0-0.

Right out of halftime in the 47’, Luca Orellano would break the deadlock and put FC Cincinnati up 1-0 with a beautiful strike.

For the remainder of the game FC Dallas would test FC Cincinnati and their cobbled together back line. Goal keeper, Roman Celentano was called upon multiple times to make big saves, which he thankfully did.

Despite a pretty dominating performance from FC Dallas, the orange and blue were able to escape with a 1-0 victory and three huge road points.

With that win, FC Cincinnati were able to keep pace with first place Inter Miami. FC Cincinnati are currently only 2 points behind Inter Miami with a game in hand and an important game against each other at TQL Stadium next Saturday, July 6th.

It really wasn’t the best performance for FC Cincinnati. Things are a struggle right now defensively without Matt Miazga and Miles Robinson on their back line, but it is encouraging to see the orange and blue escape this game with a clean sheet. It was not pretty by any means, but we will never complain about earning three points on the road.

FC Cincinnati will now turn their attention to a mid-week road matchup at DC United on Wednesday, July 3rd. That game will kick-off at 7:30 pm.

UP THE ORANGE AND BLUE!!!
