It’s been a rollercoaster ride this offseason between FC Cincinnati and star midfielder Lucho Acosta, but that ride is finally over.

FC Cincinnati have traded the former MVP to FC Dallas for $5 million + $1 million in add-ons.

Lucho took to Instagram to thank Cincinnati.

Now that this domino has fallen, Cincinnati are moving forward with the signing of Brazilian star midfielder Evander from the Portland Timbers.

Evander is one of the top 5 best players in the MLS. The 26 year old midfielder was a finalist for the league MVP award in 2024, finishing with 15 goals and 19 assists in 28 appearances.

Evander will slot in nicely to FC Cincinnati’s midfield and the hope is he can feed the club’s record signing in Kevin Denkey with plenty of goal-scoring opportunities.

An attack of Kevin Denkey, Evander and Luca Orellano could be deadly. Mix that with one of the best back lines in the MLS and things could be fun down in Cincinnati this season.

Speaking of fun down in Cincinnati, the club have unveiled their new home kits for this upcoming season.

Simple. Clean. Nice. I’m a fan of these and in my opinion they may be the best home kits in club history.

Hopefully the 10th season for this club is a memorable one. If this offseason is any indication, then we have a fun season ahead of us.
