We don’t give a damn for the whole state of ❌ichigan cause we’re from O-HI-O!

It has arrived! After 364 days, THE Game has arrived once more. I’d like to say I’m excited, I am! But I’d be remiss if I didn’t say I wasn’t a little bit nervous too.

The 11-0, #1 ranked Buckeyes open as 11.5 point favorites (currently at 10.5) against the 9-2 team up north.

Ohio State’s defense is the best in the nation, and can be considered as one of the best in recent history holding opponents to just 8.3 points per game.

Ohio State is lead by 2 potentially top 10 NFL draft picks on defense in Arvell Reese and Caleb Downs.

On offense, quarterback Julian Sayin has the nations best completion percentage at an insane 79.4%. He leads the country with a 185.4 quarter back rating. He also boasts a 27 TD compared to just 4 interception ratio on the season.

They have the two best wide receivers in the country with all world Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate who’s been a legit #1 in his own right and yet another potential first-round pick. Cap it all off with an emerging freshman running back Bo Jackson, this team is loaded, and primed to make another title run.

Which is exactly where they want us.

All things are pointing to the Buckeyes and that scares the hell out of me!

We’ve been here before, like 364 days ago before.

And let me tell you, ❌ichigan fans have NOT let us forget about it. Nevermind that their championship still holds a big ole asterisks. They will be quick to brag about how they ran the table to have a perfect* season with their national championship*.

Ohio State’s magical run of destruction against Tennessee, complete demolishing of Oregon in revenge to their loss earlier in the year, the defeat of yet another SEC team in Texas and of course, all the marbles against Notre Dame was special. But, admittedly, there’s still a little gnawing gnat telling you, “it’s not good enough.”

Last year’s team suffered possibly the worst upset loss to TTUN ever. Not using hyperbole or vibes, literally the worst considering the points spread, the expectations, and quite frankly, what the Buckeyes were capable of AFTER the game.

But sometimes hard lessons need to be learned. As they say, the rest is history, and a historical run! If not for that infamous flag plant, would that Ohio State team found that missing spark to make that run? Would they have been that hungry? What if’s don’t matter because what happened last year happened.

Now we’re back. 2025. Ohio State has come in with a renewed vigor this year. A mindset that sets last year in the past. A hunger that is still chasing another national title, along with a Big 10 championship and of course, bragging rights for finally beating TTUN.

THE game this year comes with more on the line than a simple spoiler attempt from ❌ichigan. With a victory, Ohio State will go on to the Big 10 championship and more than likely play a very feisty Indiana team. A win there would lock up the #1 seed in the playoffs. A loss to TTUN could eliminate that shot at a Big 10 title, but playoffs would still be mostly a lock.

TTUN could very well be playing for a playoff birth in their own right. The Big 10 championship is not of the question, but highly unlikely. For a chance at the playoffs, they may need a little help from other conferences to knock each other off this weekend, but would have a case to be the 12 seed. And if that happens, there’s a non zero chance Ohio State could be 5th seed and play them again, round 1, in the shoe.

This year will be a war! So much pride, so many bragging rights. The last 2 national champs* facing off.

Many questions will need to be answered for the Buckeyes. Has Ryan Day learned his lesson from last year? Play YOUR game, don’t try to out rush, or out toughen or whatever you want to call it. You know how you got here, continue to execute.

Will Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate be healthy? If not, who will step up? Ohio State is still looking for other receivers to take command.

Does Ohio State have enough of a run game to not become one dimensional?

Can this defense remain a stalwart and shut down any real hopes the ❌ichigan offense has to offer?

The Buckeyes have not had a challenge since week 1 against Texas, who just knocked off #3 and undefeated Texas A&M. How will Ohio State respond once they hit some adversity? This game could tell us everything about the mettle of this Buckeye team, and if they will truly be a threat to win the National championship. But before I get ahead of myself, just go win THE game!

Prediction: Ohio State 24: TTUN 10

And as always, ❌ichigan still sucks!
